The Den at The Linhay

Really glad we found the Linhay - we'd like to stay again when we visit our friends in the area. Positive: The quality of the work done on the buildings and the materials used - brilliant . Being out in the fields - endless rolling fields - really nice. Sitting out on the patio having breakfast early morning watching Red Kites . Little touches like the bread , milk etc for us to use ( I bake a lot of bread, have a big interest in all things to do with bread - and it was interesting to see that you had grown the wheat - the bread was excellent ) . It felt relaxing - somewhere to drop anchor , cook food and ' switch off ' . We really felt like we'd had a holiday. Negative: Probably nothing could have been better during our stay - it was all very nice . If we are mentioning everything to do with our stay , then we would observe that we were very aware of traffic - that's something that you can't control of course !! ( and roads have to be somewhere ) . We live on the fellside in upper Cumbria - the only noise, generally is birds - so inevitably we are going to be aware of traffic sounds- and I am sure that some folk wouldn't notice it. It didn't alter the fact that we had a really lovely stay at your property.

The perfect stay for our friend’s wedding. Would highly recommend. Positive: Beautifully presented. Very comfortable and clean. Welcoming touches and great communication from the hosts. Negative: My husband banged his head on the shelf above the bathroom sink when washing his face. Not a problem but something to consider.

Good location, good hots and an excellent property Positive: The property was immaculately presented. Most of the equipment was brand new and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Very nicely decorated and lovely views. A bonus was the underfloor heating!! Negative: Only a very slight issue. In the bathroom the sink is very small and the shelf above it restricts the use of the same
